Gagan Narang

Gagan Narang is an Indian shooter, born on May 6, 1983, in Chennai, India. He's renowned for his excellence in air rifle shooting. Narang's journey in shooting began at a young age, and he swiftly rose to prominence in the sport. He represented India in numerous international competitions, including the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games. Notably, he clinched the bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics in the 10-meter air rifle event, making the nation proud. Narang's dedication, perseverance, and skill have made him a respected figure in Indian sports, inspiring many aspiring athletes across the country.

 His Achievements:-

• Bagged a gold medal at the 2003 Afro-Asian Games, in Hyderabad at the Men's 10m air rifle competition
• Bagged gold medals at the Commonwealth Games of 2006 and 2010, held in Melbourne and Delhi respectively
• Secured silver medals at the 2010 Asian Games in 10m air rifle in individual and 10m air rifle in team event respectively, that was held in Guangzhou
• Bestowed with the "Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award" by the Government of India in 2011
• Won a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in 10m air rifle, held in London
