Sardara Singh

Born on 15^th July 1986, Sardara Singh is a professional Indian hockey player, a former captain of the Indian Men’s Hockey team and usually plays at the centre half position.

His Achievements:-

• Earned a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games of 2010 and 2014 that was held in Delhi and Glasgow
• Played a vital role in winning a silver medal at the 2011 Men’s Hockey Champion Challenge (MHCC) held in Johannesburg, a bronze medal at the 2007 MHCC held in Boom and another bronze medal at the 2009 MHCC held in Salta
• Honoured with the 'Player of Tournament' award for his prolific performance at the 2010 & 2012 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, where India won a gold & bronze medal
• Became the Player of the Tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics Qualifiers, where India won the Gold
• Won gold medals at the 2007 and 2017 Asia Cup held in Chennai and Dhaka and a silver medal in the 2013 Asia Cup at Ipoh
• Part of the team that bagged a bronze medal in 2010 Asian Games, gold medal in 2014 Asian Games and again a bronze in 2018 Asian Games
• Secured a silver medal in 2012 Asian Champions Trophy and a gold medal in 2016
• Earned a bronze medal at the 2015 Men’s FIH Hockey World League held in Raipur
• Received the prestigious honor of Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2015
• Claimed a silver medal in the 2018 Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy
