Born on 10th August 1986, Saurav Ghosal is a professional Indian Squash player who has reached on his career-high world ranking of World No. 10 in April 2019. He is one of the most dynamic squash players with various achievements.
At the 2006 National Championship in Delhi, he defeated Gaurav Nandrajog and became the "Indian National Champion".
Saurav was honoured with the Arjuna Award in 2007 by the Government of India after winning a bronze medal at the 2006 Asian Games.
Bagged two bronze medals in the men's singles and team event at the 2010 Asian Games, held in Guangzhou, China.
He became the first Indian to reach the quarter-finals of the World Squash Championship in 2013 at Manchester, England.
Clinched a gold medal in the team event and a silver medal in the singles event at the 2014 Asian Games, held in Incheon, South Korea.
Won a bronze medal in the singles event at the 2016 South Asian Games.
