Satwiksairaj Rankireddy

Born on 13^th August 2000, Satwiksairaj RankiReddy is a badminton player who hails from Andhra Pradesh, India. He followed the footsteps of his father (who was a state-level player previously) and elder brother to become a badminton player. He joined the famous Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in 2014 and focused towards becoming a doubles specialist.

• Winner of the 2015 Tata Open India International tournament in the mixed doubles event.
• Won a bronze medal along with his team at the 2016 Badminton Asia Championship.
• Earned gold medals at the Mauritius International, India International Series, Tata Open India International & Bangladesh International in 2016 in the men’s doubles event.
• Clinched gold medals at the Bangladesh International, India International Series & Mauritius International tournaments in 2016 in the mixed doubles event with his partner K. Maneesha.
• Won the Vietnam International of 2017 with his partner Chirag Shetty
• Bagged a gold medal in the mixed team event and a silver medal in the men’s doubles event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
• Won the Hyderabad Open (Super 100) with his partner Chirag Shetty in 2018.
• Emerged victorious at the 2019 Thailand Open (Super 500) in men’s doubles event.
• Bagged the title of 2019 Brazil International in men’s doubles event.
• Clinched a bronze medal in the men’s team event at the 2020 Badminton Asia Championship, held in Manila.
