Machettira Raju Poovamma

Born on 5^th June 1990, Machettira Raju Poovamma is an Indian sprinter who competes in the 400 meters event.

Her Achievements:-

• Received the gold medal at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in 4x400m relay and the silver medal in 400m, held in Pune.
• Earned a gold medal at the 2013 Asian Championship in 4x400m relay and the silver medal in 400m, held in Pune.
• Won a gold medal in 4x400m relay at the 2014 Asian Games, held in Incheon.
• Also, won a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games in 400m, held in Incheon.
• Honored with the prestigious Arjuna Award in 2015.
