Lilima Minz

Lilima Minz, born on 10 Apr, 1994, is an accomplished Indian field hockey player, hailing from the state of Odisha. Raised in a modest background, Minz began playing hockey at a young age and quickly showcased her talent. She made her mark in the national hockey scene, representing India in various international tournaments. Minz is known for her exceptional midfield skills and leadership on the field. Her determination and hard work have earned her recognition and admiration from fans and peers alike. Off the field, Minz remains humble and dedicated to inspiring young athletes, especially girls, to pursue their dreams in sports.

Achievements:

• Part of the national squad that won a bronze medal in the Junior World Cup in 2013
• Also a part of the national team that competed in the Summer Olympics after 36 years
• Aided the national squad to bag a gold medal in the Asian Cup of 2017, held in Gifu
• Represented the nation at the Commonwealth Games as well as the Women's Hockey World Cup 2018
• Bagged a silver in 2018 and a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games along with her team
