Born on 30th September 1970, Deepa Malik is an Indian Paralympian who participates in Shot Put events. She is the first woman who has earned a medal at the Paralympic Games (the feat she earned by giving an astounding performance in Shot Put F-53 event of 2016 Summer Olympics winning a silver medal). She is currently the world no. 1 in the F-53 category. Deepa is also the first disabled individual to receive an official rally license from the Federation Motor Sports Club of India (FMSCI) and also associated with Himalayan Motorsports Association.
