Alka Tomar

Born on 1st December 1983, Alka Tomar is a well-known freestyle wrestler from India who has earned many accolades in several international wrestling events predominantly participating in 59 kg category.

Her Achievements:-

• Alka has won silver and three gold medals at the Commonwealth Wrestling Championship of 2003, 2005, 2009, and 2011 respectively.
• She secured a bronze medal at the World Wrestling Championships of 2006, held in Guangzhou.
• Another bronze medal at the 2006 Asian Games that took place in Doha.
• She blew the competition away by winning a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, held in Delhi.
• At the World Championship of 2003 which took place in Delhi, Alka secured a bronze medal in Asian Wrestling Championships, held in Delhi in the year 2003.
• Won another bronze in Asian Wrestling Championships, held in 2009 in Pattaya.
• Secured bronze in Asian Wrestling Championships at Delhi in the year 2010.
• Earned a silver medal at the 2005 Asian Wrestling Championships, held in Wuhan.
• She received the prestigious "Arjuna Award" in 2007 for her astounding performance in sports.
