Adam Peaty

Adam Peaty, born on 28^th December 1994, is a competitive swimmer representing Great Britain and specializes in the breaststroke. He is the 2016 gold medal winner in the 100m breaststroke and silver medal winner in the 4 x 100m medley at the Olympics.

His Achievements:-

• Bagged three gold medals at the 2015 FINA World Championships (LC), each in 50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke and 4 x 100m mixed medley
• Won four gold medals in 2014 and four in 2016 at the European Aquatics Championships (LC) in different events
• Clinched gold medals in 100m breaststroke and 4 x 100m medley and a silver medal in 50m breaststroke at the 2014 Commonwealth Games
• Adam is a five-time European swimmer of the year, winning it consecutively from 2014 to 2018, and is also a two-time World swimmer of the year in 2015 and 2018.
• At the 2017 World Aquatics Championships, he retained his 100-meter breaststroke title. After easily winning his heat and semi-final races, he won the race with a championship record of 57.47 seconds in the finals.
• At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Adam defended his 100-meter breaststroke title, winning in a time of 58.84 seconds after setting a game-record time of 58.59 in the semi-finals.
• Adam broke his world record in the semi-finals of the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 56.88 and became the first person to swim in the event within 57 seconds at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea.
