Born in the capital city of Mascara Province, Lakhdar Belloumi is a well-known former footballer and manager from Algeria who has been known as the inventor of "Blind Pass" and was also the third-best goal-scorer of the Algerian football team (27 goals). His Achievements:
In the FIFA World Cup of 1982, Belloumi's goal against the team of West Germany made the Algerian team won the Cup by 2-1.
With 100 national caps, he holds the record for the most capped Algerian player.
Won the Algerian Championship of 1983 and 1987 as a member of GC Mascara and MC Oran, respectively
Entitled as the 3rd best player of the Mediterranean Games of 1979
Honoured as the African Footballer of the Year in 1981
