Born on 25th August 1984 in Pemalang, Hendra Setiawan is a prominent badminton player from Indonesia who competes in doubles. He has won the World Championships three times (2007, 2013 and 2015). 

His Major Achievements:

  • Gold medal at the Olympics of 2008, held in Beijing.
  • Three gold and a bronze medal earned at the World Championships of 2015, 2013 and 2007 and 2010, respectively.
  • Gold medal at the Badminton World Cup of 2006, held in Yiyang.
  • Three gold and two silver medals at the Badminton Asia Championships held in 2003, 2005, 2009, 2013 and 2015.
  • Gold medals at the Asian Games of 2010 and 2014.
  • Six gold and two silver medals at the Southeast Asian Games, held in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011.
