Yohan Blake

Born on 26th December, 1989 in St. James, Yohan Blake is a well-known sprinter from Jamaica who predominantly competes in 100m and 200m sprint races. He is regarded as the second-fastest man after Usain Bolt.

His Achievements:-

• Five gold medals at CARIFTA Junior Games of 2006, 2007 and 2008, held at Les Abymes and Providenciales
• Two gold medals at the CARIFTA Youth Games of 2005, held at Bacolet
• Three gold medals at the 2006 CAC Junior Championships (U20) held in Trinidad
• Gold medal at the 100m at the 2011 World Championships as the youngest 100 m World Champion ever
• Two gold medals at the 2011 World Championships that was held in South Korea
• One gold and two silver medals at the Olympic Games in 2012 in London
• Two gold medals at the 2014 World Relays held at the Bahamas
• One gold at the Olympic Games 2016 at Rio de Janeiro
• Bronze medal in 4x200 m relay at the 2017 IAAF World Relays in Nassau, Bahamas.
• Gold medal in 4x100m relay at the 2018 IAAF Continental Cup held in Ostrava.
• In the 2018 Commonwealth Games, he won the bronze in both 100m and 4x100m relay in Australia.
• In 2019, Blake won another gold medal in 100m at Diamond league, Birmingham.
• Concluded at the 5^th position in 100 m discipline with 9.97 mark at 2019 Doha World Championship.
