Waisale Serevi

Born on 20th May 1968 in Suva, Waisale Tikoisolomoni Serevi is a former rugby union footballer and coach. He is one of the greatest rugby seven players, who has aided his team to win numerous international accolades.

His Achievements:

• Played for the national rugby union team of Fiji for 39 times in between 1989 and 2003.
• Inducted into the Hall of Fame of Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee and was named in the Fiji Times Personality of the Year 2005.
• Part of the Rugby World Cup Sevens winning team of the year 1997 and 2005.
• Won silver medal at the Commonwealth Games of 1998 and 2002 along with the team and a bronze medal in the year 2006.
• Waisale was the coach of the winning team of the World Sevens Series season 2005–06.
• Under his coaching, the national team of Fiji won the 2005 World Games that took place in Germany.
