Tajinder Pal Singh Toor

Born on 13th November 1994 in Moga district, Punjab; Tajinder Pal Singh Toor is an Indian shot putter and the national record holder that he set on 25th August 2018, while performing at the Asian Games. Initially, Tejinder was much involved in cricket but switched to shot put on the suggestion of his father.

Major Achievements:-

• Covered the distance of 20.40m at the Federation Cup National Senior Athletics Championship of 2017 which was his personal best at the event
• Bagged a silver medal at the Asian Athletics Championship of 2017, covering the distance of 19.77m
• Finished eighth at the Commonwealth Games of 2018 with a throw of 19.42m
• Emerged victorious at the shot put event at the Asian Games of 2018 with a whopping throw of 20.75m, breaking the Games record as well as setting a new national record.
• Claimed a gold medal in the shot put event of the 2019 Asian Athletics Championships, held in Doha
