Shiv Kapur

Born on 12 February 1982, Shiv Kapur is a well-known professional golfer who has earned notable triumphs as an amateur as well as in his professional golf career. Kapur is currently having three Asian Tour titles and two Challenge Tour titles, he is also the winner of 2002 Asian Games.

Here are some of his career achievements:

• He gave his vital participation to the Indian team for Eisenhower Trophy and received the prestigious Arjuna Award by the Government of India in 2002.
• He bagged a gold medal in the 2002 Asian Games held in Busan giving his perfect individual performance being the second Indian golfer to receive the honour.
• Played a crucial role being the part of the 2004 Asian team in winning the Bonallack Trophy
• Winner the 2005 Volvo Masters of Asia and was entitled the Rookie of the Year in 2005
• Qualified for the major event at the 2006 British Open
• In 2013, Kapur won on the European Challenge Tour twice in the year; the first in Gujarat Kensville Challenge with a 2 strokes victory margin and another in Dubai Festival City Challenge Tour Grand Final with a 4 strokes victory margin. He also qualified for the 2013 British Open Championship where he finished with a tie at 73rd
• Gave his vital performance in 2014 U.S.Open Championship finishing tied 23rd
• Bagged two Asian tour victories in 2017 at the Yeangder Heritage and Panasonic Open India
• Winner of the 2017 Royal Cup, beats Prom Meesawat with a stroke
