Rupinder Pal Singh

Born on 11th November 1990 in Faridkot, Punjab; Rupinder Pal Singh is an Indian professional field hockey player who primarily plays at the fullback position in the national squad. Rupinder is regarded as one of the best drag-flickers in the world and has performed for the nation at various international events.

Achievements:

• Made his successful international debut by winning the  2010 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup along with the team
• Scored his first international hat-trick at 2011 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup where he won the Top-scorer Award and named in the Sultan Azlan Shah XI Team. Rupinder along with his team earned bronze medals at Sultan Azlan Shah Cup of 2012 and 2017.
• Bagged a silver medal at the Hockey Asia Cup of 2013
• Earned bronze medals at the Hockey World League of 2015 and 2017 and bestowed with the "Fan's Choice Award" in 2017
• Bagged a gold medal at the Asian Games and a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games of 2014
• Bagged two gold medals at the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy of 2011 and 2016, and a silver medal in 2012. He was also entitled as the Top Goal Scorer of the Tournament as well as Best Player of the Tournament with 11 individual goals in 2016.
• Appointed as the vice-captain of the Indian men's hockey team for the 2014 Men's Hockey World Cup
• Part of the team that won the bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games, held in Jakarta
