Rohit Sharma, born in India in 30 Apr, 1987, is a cricketing maestro. Known for his elegant batting style and impeccable timing, he's one of the finest batsmen of his generation. Sharma's journey from Mumbai's streets to cricket stadiums is inspirational. He holds the record for the highest individual score in One Day Internationals (ODIs), a breathtaking 264 runs. Sharma has led the Indian cricket team to victories as both a player and captain, earning adoration from fans worldwide. • Sharma is the second Indian (after Suresh Raina) to score a century in all the three formats- One Day International, Test, and Twenty-20.
• Holds a record of attaining the highest individual score of 264 runs in One Day International match which took place in 2014 against Sri Lanka
• Scored a double century against Australia at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on 2 November 2013.
• Rohit has a record of hitting 16 sixes in the One Day International match against Australia held in 2013.
• Received the Arjuna Award by the Government of India for his sincere efforts and vigorous performances in his sport in 2015
• Scored third ODI double-century against Sri Lanka in 2017
• The third Indian batsman who won the ICC golden Bat Award for scoring most number of runs in ICC World Cup 2019
