Rohit Havaldar

Rohit Havaldar was born on 26^th August 1989 in Kolhapur. He is a prolific swimmer who has won numerous competitions at both the national and state level.

Accomplishments:-

• ​He won 4 gold medals and 2 silver medals in 31st Junior National Aquatic Championships held in Jaipur in 2004.
• Won the Best Athlete Award for the years 2003, 2005 and 2006 in Junior National’s Aquatic Championship.
• Honoured with the Best Swimmer Award of the year in 2007 from Karnataka Olympic Association.
• Participated and represented India at the 2007 World Championship, held in China.
• Honoured with the Ekalavya Award by the Government of Karnataka in 2008.
• Bagged a medal for India at 2008 Singapore Open.
• Earned the medals for India at 2006 & 2010 South Asian Games.
• Participated and represented India at the 2010 Asian Games, held in China.
• Bagged the medals for India at 2008, 2012 & 2014 Malaysian Open.
• Participated and represented India at the 2013 World University Games, held in Russia.
• Entitled with the 2015-16 Shiv Chatrapati Award.
• Honoured with the Kolhapur District Sports Award in 2017.
• Total International Medals - 30 (6 Gold, 18 Silver, 6 Bronze).
• Total National (All India Level) Medals - 189 (111 Gold, 56 Silver, 22 Bronze).
