Rehan Jahangir Poncha

Born on 3^rd August 1986, Rehan Jahangir Poncha is one of the finest swimmers of India. The exceptionally talented sportsperson has mastered the swimming techniques of butterfly, backstroke and medley events.

• Rehan is the 6 times national record holder in the butterfly style.
• He has qualified for 2008 Olympics in men`s 200 m butterfly.
• Poncha is the winner of bronze Medal in Asian Championship which was held in Foshan, China in the year 2009.
• In 2009, he was chosen as the Senior National Champion of the Year.
• Poncha received the Eklavya Award in 2004.
• Recipient of Arjuna Award for 2010.
• In 2011, he won a gold medal in Singapore Open Swimming Championship.
