Prannoy Kumar

Prannoy Haseena Sunil Kumar, also known as HS Prannoy, is an International Badminton Player who was born on 17th July 1992 in Delhi. The 27-year-old badminton player originally hails from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Prannoy is currently training at the Gopichand Badminton Academy which is situated in Hyderabad. 

Major Achievements-

• Nailed a Silver Medal in Boys Singles at Summer Youth Olympics in 2010
• Clinched another Silver Medal at Bahrain International Challenge in 2011
• Vanquish twice the All India Senior National Ranking Championship in 2014
• Won the Indonesian Masters in 2014
• Emerged victoriously in 2016 at the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold
• Bagged a gold medal in men's team and a silver medal in men's singles event at the 2016 South Asian Games, held in Guwahati-Shillong
• Secured a bronze medal in men's team at the 2016 Asia Team Championships
• Defeated the Lee Chong Wei (Reigning Olympic Silver Medalist) and Chen Long (Reigning Olympic Champion) at Indonesian Open in 2017
• Claimed a gold medal in the mixed team event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games
• Clinched a bronze medal in men's singles event at the 2018 Asian Championships
• Won a bronze medal in men's team at the 2020 Asia Team Championships
