Neeraj Chopra (Golden Boy of India) was born on 24th December 1997 in Khandra village, Haryana. He has become the first Indian to win Gold in athletics and the first post-independence Indian to win an individual Olympic gold in Athletics. Not only in sports, but he has also shown utmost dedication and pride in serving the Indian Army as a Junior Commissioned Officer. On 27 August 2021, Defence Minister Shri Rajanath Singh renamed the Army Sports Institute (ASI) stadium of Pune Cantonment to "Neeraj Chopra Stadium" in the honour of getting Gold for India in the Olympics.
