Misaki Matsutomo

Born on 8th February 1992, Misaki Matsutomo is a Japanese badminton player who participates in the doubles event. She has earned numerous accolades through her astounding performance in various national as well as international events.

• Bagged a gold medal at the 2009 Osaka International Challenge, held in Japan
• Bagged a gold medal at the 2009 India Open Grand Prix, held in India
• Won a gold medal at the Belgian International Challenge, in 2009, held in Belgium
• Bagged gold medals at the U. S. Open Grand Prix, Canada Open Grand Prix and the Indonesia Open Grand Prix, held in United States, Canada, and Indonesia, respectively in 2012
• Winner of German Open Grand Prix and Japan Open Super Series in 2014 that were held in Germany and Japan respectively
• Emerged the world champion by winning a gold medal at the 2014 World Super Series Finals, held in Dubai
• Clinched a gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games, held in Brazil
• Bagged a gold medal at the 2016 Asian Championships in women's doubles and a silver medal at the 2016 Asia Team Championships in women's team
• Win two bronze medals at the World Championships and Sudirman Cup in 2017
• Emerged as a champion by winning a gold medal at 2017 Asian Championships and also at the 2017 Asia Mixed Team Championships
