Born on 16th February 1991 in Bangalore, Mayank Agarwal is a prolific opening batsman who plays for the Indian cricket team. He also plays for the Karnataka cricket team in domestic cricket competitions and Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Mayank used to play cricket from his school days in Bangalore but came to prominence in the 2008-09 Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy, where he scored 432 runs in 5 matches. He made his first-class cricket debut against Jharkhand in November 2013, but his international debut in a Test match against Australia in December 2018 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and ODI debut against New Zealand in February 2020.
