Manel Estiarte Duocastella

Manuel Estiarte i Duocastella from Spain was born on 26th October 1961. He is a former water polo player, recognized as the first water polo player ever to have competed at six Olympic Games.

His Achievements:-

• Honored with the title of the "World Player of the Year" that he sustained for seven years from 1986 to 1992
• Earned the second position at the World Aquatics Championships of 1991 and 1994 that took place in Perth and Rome, respectively
• Contributed his best efforts to the team in winning a gold medal at the Atlanta Olympics Games of 1996, held in the United States
• Received the "Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Sporting Merit" in the year 1996
• Won the World Aquatics Championships of 1998, held in Perth
• Honored with the "Prince of Asturias Award" for Sports in 2001
