Maja Martyna Włoszczowska

Maja Martyna Włoszczowska, born on 9th November 1983, is a mountain biker from Poland. She is a two-time Olympic medalist: a silver medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2016 Rio Olympics.

Some of her career achievements are:

• Earned a gold medal, five silver medals and two bronze medals at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in cross-country and team relay events
• Won a gold medal, four silver medals and a bronze medal in the cross-country event at the European Mountain Bike Championships
• In 2003, she clinched the 1^st position in the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships, held in Switzerland.
• Bagged 2^nd position in UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in 2004, held in France
• Finished 2^nd in the 2005 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, held in Italia
• Clinched 2^nd position in 2005 UCI Mountain Bike European Championships, held in Belgium
• Won the 2008 Polish MTB National Championships
• Bagged 2^nd position in Women's cross-country at the 2008 Summer Olympics, held in Beijing, China
• Won the title of World Cup MTB XCO#9 in 2008, held in Austria
• Honoured with the "Golden Cross of Merit" in the year 2008
• Bagged 1^st position in the 2009 European XC Continental Championships, held in the Netherlands
• Finished 1^st in the 2010 World Cup MTB XCO#5, held in Italy
• Bagged Elite Women's c 2010 title, held in Mont-Sainte-Anne
• Concluded 2^nd in the 2011 Elite Women's XC World Championships, held in Switzerland
• Won the 2012 World Cup MTB XCO#1, held in South Africa
• Finished 3^rd in the 2012 World Cup MTB XCO#2, held in Belgium
• Finished 2^nd in the 2013 World Cup MTB XCO#1, held in Germany
