Khushbir Kaur

Khusbir Kaur is an Indian athlete, a 20-km racewalker, who was born on 9^th July 1993. She first came into limelight after claiming a bronze medal in the 10,000 meters walk race at the Asian Junior Athletics Championships in 2012. She is the first Indian woman to bag a silver medal in race walk event at 2014 Asian Games.

Her achievements:-

• At 2012 Asian Junior Athletics Championship, she won a bronze medal in 10,000 meters walk race.
• At 2013 Moscow World Championship, she became the first Indian woman who won a silver medal in a 20 km walk race category.
• In 2014 at Asian Walking Championship, Japan, she secured the third rank.
• Kaur holds a national record for sustaining the second position at the marathon course of 2014 Asian Games which were held in Incheon.
• In 2017, she was honoured with the Arjuna Award after her consecutive victories in international sports events.
