Joydeep Karmakar

Born on 7th December 1979 in West Bengal, Joydeep Karmakar is an Indian shooter who has won a silver medal in the World Cup in Prone events, the only Indian to earn this accolade.

His Achievements:-

• Became a Junior National Champion in 1994
• Bagged a silver medal at the 2010 ISSF World Cup, held in Sydney
• At the 2010 World Cup, held in Munich, he secured the 8th rank
• Ranked 35th at the 2011 World Cup, held in Munich
• Represented India at the 2012 Summer Olympics, held in London and came 4th.
• Received the “Arjuna Award” in 2012 by the Government of India.
