Jason Newth Morris

Born on 3rd February 1967, Jason Morris is an American Judoka and a coach who trains many highly competitive athletes for International level competitions at his Judo club named as Jason Morris Judo Club. Morris is a four-time Olympian and the 2008 Olympic Coach, is best known for to bagged the silver medal at 1992 Summer Olympics and a bronze at 1993 World Judo Championships. 

Here are some of his career achievements:-

• Gold medal in the Half Middleweight category at the Pan American Games, held in Indianapolis in the year 1987
• Gold medal in the Half Middleweight category at the Pan American Games, held in Havana in 1991
• Silver medal at the Summer Olympic Games that took place in Barcelona in 1992
• Silver medal at the Pan American Games which was held in Mar del Plata in 1995
• Elected to NYAC Hall of Fame in 1998
• Earned a bronze medal in 2002 at the World Championships, held in Switzerland
• Named as the USOC Coach of the Year for Judo in 2006
• Real Judo Magazine elected him as Coach of the Year thrice in 2003, 2005 & 2006
• Selected as the USOC Development Coach of the Year for Judo in 2007
• Coached the 2008 US Olympic Judo team
• Elected to USA Judo Hall of Fame in 2008
• Elected to USJF Hall of Fame in 2010
