Jan Železný

Jan Železný was born on 16^th June 1966. He is a javelin thrower who represents the Czech Republic. He is the world and Olympic champion and a record holder in the sport.

His Achievements:-

• Bagged a bronze medal at the 1987 World Championships, held in Rome.
• Won a silver medal at the 1988 Olympic Games, held in Seoul.
• Captured a gold medal at the 1992 Olympic Games, held in Barcelona, Spain.
• Won gold medals at the 1993, 1995 and 2001 World Championships, held in Stuttgart, Gothenburg, and Edmonton, respectively.
• Bagged a gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games, held in Atlanta.
• Won a gold medal at the 2000 Olympic Games, held in Sydney.
• Captured a bronze medal at the 2006 European Championships, held in Gothenburg.
