Hailing from Balangoda, Sri Lanka, Isuru Udana Tillakaratna is an all-rounder cricketer who plays for Sri Lanka national team in ODIs and T20Is. He also plays domestic cricket for Tamil Union and Wayamba cricket teams.
Udana made his first-class debut in August 2008 and List A debut in September 2008, both for Sri Lanka A team. During the same year, he got picked up for Tamil Union and subsequently for the Wayamba cricket team to play in first-class and T20 matches.
He has also played franchise Twenty20 cricket in the Sri Lanka Premier League for Wayamba United and pulled off some impressive performances. He was also a part of the Montreal Tigers squad in the 2018 Global T20 Canada Tournament and has also played in various editions of the Afghanistan Premier League, Bangladesh Premier League, Mzansi Super League, Lanka Premier League as well as Indian Premier League.
Udana made his international debut in a T20I match against Australia in June 2009 in the ICC World Twenty20 and ODI debut against India in July 2012. He was named in Sri Lanka’s squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2019.
