Emily Chalker

Emily Chalker, born on July 28, 1992, is an Australian Field Hockey Player. Her love for hockey started at the age of five and then she spent her 14 years playing on the grass fields of her hometown. She made her debut in the 2011 Oceania Cup against New Zealand, where she scored her first international goal in the second game of the tournament and came home with the silver medal. Later, she was selected to represent Australia in field hockey events at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics where Australia finished 5th and 6th respectively. Currently, she is the co-captain of the National Hockeyroos Squad.

Some of her major career achievements:

• She was the youngest member of the team to compete at the 2012 London Olympics.
• Part of the team that won the gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, held in Glasgow.
• Helped her team to win a silver medal at the 2014 World Cup, held in the Netherlands.
• Member of the team that secured a silver medal twice at the Champions Trophy (2014 and 2018).
• Won the gold medal at the 2017 Oceania Cup and a silver in 2019 at the same tournament.
• Part of the team that clinched the silver medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
• Helped her team to win a silver medal at the 2019 FIH Pro League, held in Amstelveen.
