Elena Dementieva

Elena Viacheslavovna Dementieva was born on 15th October 1981 in Moscow, RSFSR, Soviet Union. She is a former Russian tennis player.

Elena Dementieva's Achievements:-

• At the Summer Olympics of 2000 which was held in Sydney, South Korea, Elena won a bronze medal.
• Winner at the Women's Singles event in 2002 ETA Tour Championship, held at Staples, Los Angeles, United States.
• Runner-up at the US Open Women’s Singles in 2002 & 2005, held at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, New York.
• Clinched a gold medal in the Women's Singles event at the Olympic Games of 2008, held in Beijing, China.
• Awarded the "Karen Krantczke Sportsmanship" award in 2008 and 2010.
• Honored as the "Tour Fan Favourite Singles Player of the Year" in 2009.
• Awarded the "Diamond Aces Award" in the Year 2009.
