Cynthia Lee Woodhead

Born on 7th February 1964, Cynthia Lee Woodhead is a former competitive swimmer from America who also knows as 'Sippy', is a world champion, Olympic medalist, and former world record-holder. She has a total of seven world records in swimming during her active career.

Here are some of her career achievements:-

• Her name was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1994.
• Silver medal at the Summer Olympic Games, held in Los Angeles in 1984.
• Won a gold medal and a silver medal at the Pan American Games, held in Caracas in 1983.
• Five gold medals at the Pan American Games that was held in San Juan in 1979.
• Named, “World Swimmer of the Year” by a U.S. magazine 'Swimming World’s’ and was also honoured as “USOC Sports Woman of the Year" in 1979.
• Three gold medals and two silver medals at the World Aquatics Championships, held in Berlin in 1978.
