Colin Ray Jackson

Colin Jackson is a former Welsh hurdle and sprint athlete who also represented Great Britain. He specialized in 110m hurdles. His record of 12.91s in 110m hurdle stood for over a decade. Alongside, his record in 60m hurdle race is still standing untouched. The athlete has 1 silver medal, 2 world championship, 1 World Indoor Championship,  4 European Championship, 3 European Indoor Championship, and 2 gold and 2 silver medals in Commonwealth Games. He is now serving the sports as a manager as well as coach and at present and also working as a sports commentator. 

Here are some of his career achievements:

• Silver medal in 110 m hurdles at the Olympic Games of 1988, held in Seoul
• Two gold, two silver, and a bronze medal at the IAAF World Championship in Athletics, held between 1987-1999
• One gold and three silver medals in 60m hurdles at the IAAF World Indoor Championships, held between 1989-1999
• Four Gold medals in 110m hurdles at the European Athletics Championships, held in the years 1990, 1994, 1998 and 2002 respectively
• Two gold and two silver medals in 110m hurdles at the Commonwealth Games, held in 1986, 1990, 1994 and 2002
• Appointed as MBE in 1990, promoted to OBE in 1999 and then the CBE in 2003
