Chen Shih-hsin

Born on 16th November 1978, Chen Shih-hsin is a Taekwondo athlete from Chinese Taipei. She is the first athlete from Taiwan to win a gold medal at the Olympics. Currently she is serving as an associate professor in Taipei Physical Education College.

Her achievements:-

• Earned a gold medal in 49 kg category at the 2004 Athens Olympics
• Won a gold medal at the 2002 Asian Games in the Finweight category
• Bagged gold medals in the Finweight category at the World Taekwondo Championships in the years 1994, 1996 and 2001.
• Won a gold medal at the 2001 East Asian Games in the Finweight category.
