Blanka Vlašić

Blanka Vlašić, born on November 8, 1983, is a high jump athlete from Croatia. She is a daughter of Josko Vlasic who is a Croatian decathlon record holder. She made her Olympic debut in 2000 at the Sydney Olympics at the age of 16.

Her Achievements:-

• Earned a silver medal in 2008 and a bronze medal in 2016 Summer Olympics, held in Beijing and Rio de Janeiro, respectively
• Bagged gold medals in 2007 and 2009, and silver medals in 2011 and 2015 at the IAAF World Championships
• Won gold medals at the IAAF World Athletics Final in the years 2007, 2008 and 2009.
• Honored with the IAAF World Athlete of the Year title in 2010 and European Athlete of the Year award in 2007 and 2010.
