Anjum Chopra

Anjum Chopra is a celebrated cricketer from India. Born on May 20, 1977, she started playing cricket from a young age. Chopra's talent and dedication led her to become one of the leading players in women's cricket. She represented India in numerous international matches, showcasing her batting and fielding skills on the field. Chopra's contributions to Indian cricket, both as a player and a mentor, are widely appreciated. Beyond cricket, she is known for her advocacy for women's sports and empowerment. Career Highlights:-

• Instrumental in the success of the Indian Women Cricket team in 2002 Test Series in South Africa and 2006 Test series held in England. With  this victory, she became the first woman Captain to win Test series hosted in abroad.
• Anjum is the first Indian woman cricketer who played 100 One Day International Matches for India.
• She has played 127 ODIs, 12 Test Series, 18 T20 and 4 world Cup matches representing India.
• Recipient of the prestigious Arjuna award in 2007 and Padma Shri Award in 2014 by the Government of India
• She was elected as ICC Player of the Match three times in the year 2000, 2005, and 2009 for her outstanding batting performance on the pitch.
