Born on 21st August 1963, Abdullah Al-Rashidi is a prominent Skeet shooter from Kuwait who participated at the Rio Olympics as an "independent Olympic athlete". He has dominated various shooting competitions both at national as well as international level. His achievements:
Bronze medal at the Olympic Games of 2016, held in Rio de Janeiro
At the ISSF World Shooting Championships that held in 1995, 1997 and 1998, he won gold medals. In the year 2011, he secured a bronze medal at the championship.
Competed at the Summer Olympics of the year 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012
Clinched gold medals at the Asian Shooting Championships of 1995, 1999, 2004, 2007, 2009, 2012
Gold at the Asian Games of 2010 and 2014, and one silver medal in the year 1998
