Mandakini Majhi

Born on 12th March 1997 in Odisha, Mandakini Majhi is the first kho-kho player from her state who has been selected in the Indian women's kho-kho team for the South Asian Federation (SAF) Games 2016.

Here are some of her career achievements:

• In 2012, Mandakini represented her state in the 46th Senior National Kho-Kho Championship, held in Maharashtra.
• Competed at the 59th National School Games that held in 2013 in Delhi as well as the 33rd Junior National Kho-Kho Championship.   
• In 19th East Zone National Kho-Kho Championship 2014, Mandakini along with her team spotted the second position. The same year, her team came third in the Junior National Kho-Kho Championship, held in Rajasthan.
• Represented Odisha at the National Games of 2015
• In 2016, Mandakini along with her team bagged a gold medal for the nation, being the first Odiya girl placed in the Indian kho-kho team for the competition.
