Leslie Walter Claudius

Leslie Claudius, born on March 25, 1927, in Bilaspur, India, was a field hockey legend. He played a pivotal role in India's dominance in the sport during the 20th century. Claudius was part of the Indian hockey team that won three consecutive Olympic gold medals in 1948, 1952, and 1956. Known for his exceptional skills and sportsmanship, he was a key midfielder in the team's success. Claudius' contribution to Indian hockey earned him widespread recognition and respect.
