Chu Mu-Yen

Born on 14th March 1982 in Taiwan, Chu Mu-Yen is the first Taiwanese male to win a gold medal in the Olympics at 58 kg event. He also secured a gold medal in the world championship as well as in  Universiade for the year 2003 by giving sincere efforts for his sports.

Here are some of his career achievements:

• 1998 World Championship held in Istanbul
• Consecutive championships in WTF World Cup at Lyon, 2000 and at Hochiminh City, 2001
• World Championships held at Jeju, 2001
• Student World Championships at Berkeley, 2002
• Asian Games, Busan in 2002
• Won gold in 2003 World Taekwondo Championships
• 2003 World Championships, Garmisch-Partenkirchen
• 2004 Student World Championships, Patra
• Flyweight champion in Asian Games held in 2006
• Bronze in Beijing Olympics, 2008
