Washington Sundar

Born on 5 October 1999, Washington Sundar is an Indian cricketer, playing as an all-rounder for Tamilnadu in domestic cricket and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His IPL debut came for now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017 where he took 8 wickets in 11 matches. Sundar got the opportunity in the Indian Cricket team in T20I against Sri Lanka in December 2017 and the same year, he made his ODI debut too against Sri Lanka.

Some of his major career achievements:

• He was a part of the 2016 India U-19 World Cup squad.
• Scored his maiden first-class century for Tamil Nadu in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy season against Tripura.
• Named the Man of the Match for claiming 3 wickets for 16 runs against Mumbai Indians at the IPL 2017 Qualifier 1; he also holds the record of best bowling figures in an IPL final.
• In 2017, Sundar became the youngest cricketer to debut for India in T20Is at the age of 18 years and 80 days when he played in the three-match series between India & Sri Lanka.
• Claimed his maiden 3-wicket haul in 2018 Nidahas Trophy that made him the youngest ever T20I player to do so and also became the Player of the Series for his outstanding performance in the tournament.
