Vivian Cheruiyot

Vivian Jepkemoi Cheruiyot was born on 11th September 1983 at Keiyo, Rift Valley, Kenya. She is a long distance runner, specialized in track and cross-country running.

Her Major achievements:-

• Secured a gold medal in the 5000-meter race event in 2011 at the World Championships, held in Daegu, South Korea.
• The American sports Track & Field Magazine named her the "Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Year" in 2011.
• Awarded the "Laureus Works Sportswoman of the Year" in 2012.
• Secured a gold medal in the 10,000-meter race event in 2015 at the World Championships, held in Beijing, China.
• Clinched a gold medal in the 5000-meter race event in 2016 at the Olympic Games, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
