Vandana Katariya

Born on 15th April 1992 in Uttar Pradesh, Vandana Katariya is an Indian field hockey player who plays as a forward in the national squad. Vandana rose to fame with her prolific performance at the 2013 Women's Hockey Junior World Cup where she was entitled as India's top goal-scorer in the event. She made her junior international debut in 2006 and senior debut in 2010.  

Achievements:-

• Part of the national team that earned a bronze medal in Women's Hockey Junior World Cup of 2013 and emerged out as the top goal scorer of India with 5 goals
• In 2014, Vandana aided the Indian team to win 2014-15 FIH Hockey World League by finishing with 11 goals and was also honoured with the Hockey India's Player of the Year Award for her astounding performances at international stages.
• Part of the team that won the 2017 Women’s Hockey Asia Cup
• Part of the Indian hockey team that won a silver medal at the Asian Champion Trophy 2018 and was entitled as the "Player of the Tournament"
• Bagged a silver medal in 2018 and a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games along with her team
