Trent Boult

Trent Alexander Boult was born on 22^nd July 1989. He is a professional cricketer from New Zealand and also plays as a tail-end batsman and bowler for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. Boult has established himself as one of the leading pacers in modern-day cricket in all formats. He has a total of 39 World Cup wickets which is the leading figure for New Zealand, and he is also in the top-10 list of Most World Cup Wickets.

Some of his Major Achievements:-

• Won the Man of the Match award in the “West Indies in New Zealand” Test Series, held in New Zealand in 2013-14.
• Won the "Man of the Series" Award in the "New Zealand in England" Test Series, held in England in 2015.
• Won the "Man of the Match award" in New Zealand vs. Scotland ODI held at University Oval, Dunedin in 2015 where New Zealand won by three wickets.
• Honoured with the "Man of the Match" Award in Sri Lanka vs. New Zealand T-20 match held in New Zealand, in 2015-16.
• Helped New Zealand reach the final in 2015 ICC World Cup and was the joint-highest wicket-taker along with Australia's Mitchell Starc (22).
• Ranked the ICC World No. 1 bowler in ODIs in 2016.
• He is the 7th highest wicket-taker with 164 wickets for New Zealand in ODI and the 4th highest wicket-taker in Test cricket with 267 wickets for New Zealand as of July 2020.
• He is the 3rd fastest bowler to reach 150 wickets mark in just 81 innings in ODIs, only Mitchell Starc reached the mark in 77 innings and Saqlain Mushtaq in 78.
• He is the 2nd fastest bowler to reach 200 Test wickets in just 52 tests for New Zealand after Hadlee.
• Became the 3rd bowler to take a hat-trick in ODIs for New Zealand in 2018.
• Became the first bowler to take a hat-trick in the 2019 Cricket World Cup for New Zealand and ended the tournament with 17 wickets.
