Tony Rominger

Tony Rominger was born on 27th March 1961 in Vejle, Denmark. He is a Swiss former professional road racing cyclist.

His achievements:-

• Awarded the Swiss Sportsman of the Year in 1989.
• Won the Giro di Lombardia one day race in 1989 and 1992, held in Lombardi, Italy.
• Won the general classification of the Vuelta a Espana three times in 1992, 1993 and 1994.
• Won the 1993 points classification, 1993 and 1995 Mountains. classification and 1992 combinations classification of Vuelta a Espana.
• Made a World Hour record in 1994.
• Won the General Classification, Point classification and Intergiro classification of the Giro d’Italia  in 1995.
