Tarun Kona

Born on 17 November 1989, Tarun Kona is an international badminton player from India who played in men's doubles and mixed doubles team. Tarun has represented India in various national and international badminton tournaments including BWF Grand Prix and BWF International Challenge/Series. In 2011, Tarun bagged the men's doubles title at National Championships.

Here are some of his career achievements:

• Secured a silver medal in the mixed doubles event with Shruti Kurien at 2009 Syed Modi International
• Along with his doubles partner Arun Vishnu, Tarun won a gold and a silver medal at 2011 Bangladesh International and 2012 Iran Fajr International
• In the mixed doubles team with N. Sikki Reddy, he won two gold and one silver medal in 2015 at Uganda International, Romanian International and Lagos International
• Bagged a silver medal in men's doubles event with Akshay Dewalkar at 2016 Norwegian International
• In the men's doubles team with Alwin Francis, Tarun won five gold medals at 2016 Guatemala International, Botswana International & Peru International Series, 2017 Uganda International & Peru International
• Partnered with Saurabh Sharma in men's doubles event, he bagged two gold medals at 2017 South Africa International and 2018 Jamaica International
• Claimed a silver medal in the mixed doubles event with Lim Khim Wah at 2018 Dubai International
• In 2020 Uganda International, Tarun earned two gold medals in men's doubles and mixed doubles event.
