Born on 29th October 1996 in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal; Swapna Barman is an Indian heptathlete. Currently, she trains at the Sports Authority of India campus at Kolkata. The GoSports Foundation supports Swapna through Rahul Dravid Athlete Mentorship Programme.
Her Achievements:-
- Spotted fifth position at the Asian Games of 2014 with 5178 points
- Won a gold medal in the heptathlon event at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championship
- At the Patiala Federation Cup 2017, Barman bagged a gold medal with 5897 points
- Won a gold medal with 6026 points at the Asian Games of 2018, held in Jakarta.
