Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh

Born on 20th February 1994, in Jammu and Kashmir, Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh is an Indian wushu practitioner who burst into the international fame when he earned a bronze medal at the World Wushu Championships of 2015. He serves in the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Here are some of his career achievements:

• Won a bronze medal in men's 60 kg sanda event at the Asian Games of 2018, held in Jakarta
• Earned bronze medals in the World Wushu Championships of 2015 and 2017, held in Jakarta and Kazan, respectively
• Bagged a gold medal in the South Asian Games of 2016, held in Guwahati-Shillong.
• Bagged a gold medal in men's below 60 kg category at the 25th Senior National Wushu Championship in 2017, held in Ranchi.
• Earned a bronze medal in men's below 48 kg category at the 24th Senior National Wushu Championship of 2015, held in Chandigarh. The same year, he earned another bronze medal in the Paras Cup Wushu Championship, held in Iran.
• Bagged a silver medal at the 12th Hong Kong International Wushu Championship in 2014.
