Steve Waugh

Steve Waugh, born on June 2, 1965, in Sydney, Australia, is an iconic figure in cricket history. Renowned for his steely resolve and tactical brilliance, Waugh is hailed as one of Australia's greatest captains. He made his Test debut in 1985, showcasing a tenacious batting style and reliable medium-pace bowling. Waugh's leadership skills came to the fore when he captained Australia from 1999 to 2004, guiding the team to numerous victories, including a record-breaking 16 consecutive Test wins. • The most capped Test cricket player in the history, from 1999 to 2004, he captained the Australian Test cricket team.
